Library computers are loaded with standard software (e.g., Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). This software supports most course-related projects.
More advanced software (e.g., MyMathLab, AutoCAD, SPSS and more) is available in the Open Computer Lab, located in WC 336 (Seefeldt Building).
In addition to PCs and Macs, the library provides two machines that print, copy and scan in color or black and white.
Accessibility software (JAWS and Read and Write Gold 10) is available on our two accessible computers. One computer features a bold-print keyboard, and the other uses a Braille keyboard.
You will need your NOVACard to check out equipment.
Equipment carries heavy fines and replacement costs. Be sure to return your items on time!
Unlike books and DVDs, equipment cannot be returned to bookdrops or to other campuses. Return equipment in-person to the Woodbridge Campus.
The library offers these items:
|Calculators (TI-83 and others)||Laptops||Noise-Canceling Headphones|
|7-Day checkout||In-library use||In-library use|
The Woodbridge Library has laptops that may be checked out by students, faculty and staff for one day and used inside the library. They must be returned to the Library in person at 30 minutes before closing.
Check out a laptop by going the the circulation desk (near the entrance to the Library). There you will sign the borrower agreement and pick up the laptop. Read the agreement carefully. The check-out/check-in process will take a few minutes, because we have to make sure that the device is in good condition every time that it goes out and is returned.
Be aware that lost, damaged or late-returned laptops carry heavy fines (up to $1,000). You may also have a hold placed on your academic records. This will prevent you from registering for classes, seeing your grades or sending official transcripts. As soon as the laptop is returned and fines are paid, the hold can be removed immediately.
Loan period: In-library use only with valid NOVACard
