Use AND between two or more terms to find materials with all the concepts. Searching for race AND discrimination will only include books that have both race and discrimination in their contents.
|(race OR ethnicity) AND discrimination||
Use OR between similar concepts. Searching for (race OR ethnicity) AND discrimination will find books that refer to race and discrimination, as well as ethnicity and discrimination.
Use quotation marks ( " " ) around specific phrases such as "pay gap" to find the words in that specific order.
Use an asterisk ( * ) to find multiple versions of one word. Using ethni* as a search term will include results that refer to ethnic, ethnicity or ethnicities.
...Write down the book's Call Number. The call number is basically the book's address, and is what you will use to find the book on the shelf.
(eBooks do not have call numbers. You will view them online.)
