Library Vocabulary Words
Catalog: The library catalog lists the books, videos and CDs owned by the library and tells you where to find them.
Check out: To borrow a book or video from the library. After you find books that you want to check out and take home, bring them to the Circulation Desk.
Circulation Desk: You can check books out at the Circulation Desk. You also return books at the Circulation Desk. At the Alexandria Campus Library, the Circulation Desk is the big desk near the front doors.
Due Date: The day you must return library books to the library.
eBook: an electronic version of a printed book that can be read on a computer or handheld device.
Renew: To borrow a book for more time past the due date.
Return: To bring books back to the library. You return books at the Circulation Desk.
You can check out books, DVDs, and CDs for 3 weeks. You can renew them one time.
