Why do I need to log in?

While community members who are not affiliated with NOVA may access licensed library resources from on-campus locations, only current NOVA students, faculty, and staff may use them from off campus. 

Logging in with your myNOVA username and password proves that you are eligible to use databases, e-books, etc. from off campus.

How do I log in?

When you click on one of the library resources, you'll be prompted to log in.  Enter your myNOVA username and password (the same ones you use to access Canvas, student email, etc.).

Note:

It is best to access online NOVA library resources directly from the NOVA Libraries website. These approaches are sometimes problematic:

  • Looking up the database you want (Proquest, for example) in Google and trying to log in from there.
  • The Library Services link on the main menu in myNOVA (see picture below)
