ENG 112: College Composition II (Online): Search Tips

This guide features resources for the annotated bibliography & film research paper in English 112 online. For help, email online-library@nvcc.edu

Search Tips

Put the movie title in quotation marks

Use quotation marks ( "  " ) around film titles with two or more words. This tells the database to look for the words in that specific order.

Example: "Gone with the wind"

Not about your film? Add the Director's name

If your results are not about the film you want, try adding the director's name, a famous actor in the film, or a character name.

Example: Selma Duvernay

(Why Duvernay? Because Ava Duvernay directed the film Selma)
