ACEPrint is NOVA's student pay-for-print/copy/scan system. ACEPrint, the NOVACard machine, and card readers are all managed by the NOVACard Office.
The library has 3 printers available for student use:
New information as of Fall 2021: All currently enrolled students are automatically enrolled in ACEPrint. If you're getting your NOVACard for the first time, there may be a delay in using your card depending on when you receive your card. See below:
Additional printers are available in the following locations at the Annandale Campus:
For a full list of student printer locations at other NOVA campuses, visit ACEPrint Locations.
In the Library: The NOVACard machine is located in the library lobby. The NOVACard machine accepts cash only (no coins, no credit cards) and does not provide change. To use the NOVACard machine, insert your student ID card into the slot with the magnetic stripe and barcode facing to the left.
NOVACard Office in CA 103: Students can add money to their card with any form of money (cash, coins, credit) during normal business hours (Monday - Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm).
ACEPrint: Students can go to aceprint.nvcc.edu to add money to their NOVACard. Note: Students in a hurry can bypass the login process by adding money using the Guest Deposit link.
GET App: Students can now add money using the GET app. The links to download the app are below.
Guest cards cost $1 with no money added. Students must add money to the card after purchase. Guest accounts are only valid for 30 days if the account has no money. After the 30 day period, you will need to register and link your guest card again.
Guest card balances cannot be transferred to NOVACards. However, the NOVACard Office can associate guest cards with existing NOVACards. Students will need to stop by the NOVACard office in order to have this done.
You won’t be able to print using a NOVACard if it's expired. NOVACards expire two years after issue. You can upload a document, but you won't be able to retrieve it because the ACEPrint system recognizes that the card is expired. You can replace your card for free at the NOVACard office if you still have the original one. However, if the NOVACard office on campus is closed, you can dial x2-3061 and the ACEPrint office will temporarily update the card so the student can print. The temporary update expires the next day.
If your NOVACard is expired, you have to renew it at the NOVACard office and not over the phone. The NOVACard office can also resolve issues relating to the barcode, older ID cards, worn magnetic strips, and so on.
CF 232 has a fax machine available for students.

If you're a guest (not affiliated with the college), you first need to purchase a guest card from the vending machine in the library lobby.
After purchasing a guest card, you can go to aceprint.nvcc.edu and click on I am a guest. You’ll then need to provide the following information:
From there, you can follow the instructions under To print from a campus PC.
There are four scanners available for student use. These scanners do not require a NOVACard and can be used by students without charge. You'll need to log in to the computer attached to the scanner with your myNOVA username and password to access the scanning function.
