Group Study Rooms

Study Room

Woodbridge Campus Library has 6 group study rooms available to all NOVA students for up to 3 hours.  5 rooms are equipped with MediaScape technology.  Each room provides cable connection for personal laptop display on LCD screens.  We can accomodate groups of up to 10 students in the largest room.

Checking in:

§  No reservations are required; first come, first serve.

§  A NOVACard is required for check-in at the Circulation Desk.

§  Groups of 3 or more have priority. Groups of 2 will be asked to vacate the room if needed.  Individuals may not check out group study rooms.  Try the quiet study room instead.

§  Please note that groups may not use rooms for more than three hours by having a different member of the group check out a room.

Checking out:

§ After vacating a room, see Library staff at the circulation desk.

§ The same NOVACard used to check-in must be presented upon checking out.

Rules for Use:

§  Rooms for academic purposes only.

§  Please keep the noise level down and the door closed.  Rooms are not sound proof.

§  The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Keep track of your belongings.

§  Rooms must be left free of trash and undamaged in any manner

§  Please vacate rooms promptly and close the door.

§  Do not forget to see Library staff at the circulation desk before leaving rooms.

Quiet Study Room

Quiet Room

Woodbridge Campus Library has a quiet study space available for students looking for a silent place to work.  The library is a collaborative learning environment, and the main floor may get noisy at times.  The quite study space is meant for those who want to work in a completely silent environment.  The 11 desks are equipped with power and cable outlets.

Policies:

§  Quiet study only for academic use.

§  The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Keep track of your belongings.

§  Room must be left free of trash and undamaged in any manner.
