Executive Order 46
On February 11th, Governor Youngkin issued Executive Order 46, prohibiting the use of DeepSeek AI on all state networks and devices. It also mandates that all Virginia State employees refrain from downloading or using DeepSeek applications on government property. This measure aims to protect Virginia State operations from any potential cyber threats posed by using DeepSeek applications.
