Research Resources
NOVA Libraries provides access to an extensive range of journals, trade publications, magazines, and newsletters relevant to nursing and clinical medicine. Through both physical and electronic collections, students have full-text access to a wide selection of relevant journal articles, including highly ranked journals determined by SciMago’s 2023 journal rankings of general and specialized Nursing journals and the NAHRS Selected List of Nursing Journals 2016. A selection of these journals are listed in the Periodicals tab of this guide.
The vast majority of these resources are available 24/7 to our students, faculty and staff.

- Users can request articles not available in our collections through the interlibrary loan system, the ILL request form is available both on the library website and in the students’ Nursing Library Resource Guide.

Over 1400 full text journals representing many medical disciplines. The most comprehensive resource for nursing and allied health literature. APA PsycArticles (EBSCO)APA PsycArticles, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a definitive source of full text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles in psychology. It contains articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association (APA), its imprint the Educational Publishing Foundation (EPF), and from allied organizations including the Canadian Psychological Association and the Hogrefe Publishing Group. It includes all journal articles, book reviews, letters to the editor, and errata from each journal. Coverage spans 1894 to the present and nearly all APA journals go back to Volume 1, Issue 1. Coronavirus Research Database (ProQuest)Journals, preprints, conference proceedings and dissertations provide comprehensive coverage of COVID-19 and other past coronavirus outbreaks, such as MERS and SARS, for context around the current global pandemic. Full-text content in the database is available either directly from ProQuest or via links to publisher sites.
