Adding an Item

If you have (or acquire) more than one copy of a specific citation, you can add these to the citation record by following the below instructions:

1. Navigate to Reading Lists (Fulfillment > Course Reserves > Reading Lists) and locate the reading list the item corresponds to. Click on the linked code for that reading list.

2. Within the reading list, locate the citation you would like to add an additional item to, and confirm that it is the same edition/version. (If you have not yet created a citation for this title/edition then you will need to create a citation first.)

3. Click the ellipses and select Items

4. Click Add Item

5: Complete the following information, finishing by scanning the item's barcode:

  • Material type
  • Item policy
  • Copy number (if applicable)
  • Replacement cost (if applicable)
  • Permanent location: Your Campus: Reserves
  • Item call number: recommend course code (i.e. MTH 154)

6. Click in to the barcode field and scan the barcode last. Click Save if scanning does not auto-submit.
