Two Types of Citations
There are two types of citations.
In-text citations appear throughout your paper at the end of a sentence you are citing. They tell your reader where you found the information used to come up with a particular idea.
Works cited page (MLA) or reference list (APA) citations give all of the information your reader would need to find your source. They appear at the end of your paper as a separate page listing all of the sources you used.
