Electronic Resources

This is an information guide about Electronic Resources at NOVA Libraries. Questions? Contact Library Technical Services at LTS@nvcc.edu.

Accessing E-Resources

Many of the Libraries' resources are available online, 24/7! However, most of the databases, electronic journals, and e-books have some access requirements, usually flagged by a note (with or without an icon). One or more can apply to a resource:

Access for all on-campus; login required from off-campus

On-campus: anyone (all visitors, students, faculty, staff) on any of the NOVA campuses can access these resources through computers/devices connected to the NOVA campus network including campus wi-fi.

  • Visitors can inquire at a Library Information Desk about using guest computers or getting free wireless access on their own device.

Off-campus: only current NOVA students, faculty and staff can connect by logging in when prompted through the Libraries website, logging in to myNOVA, or using the proxy to access these resources.

  • See Off-Campus Access & Technical Support

Access for all; no login required

These resources do not require a login and are available to all users, both on and off campus.
