A great place to search for sources on a topic in science is the ScienceDirect database, which is published by Elsevier. The database contains millions of articles and thousands of ebooks that cover physical sciences and engineering, life sciences, and health sciences. Note that ScienceDirect is designed for professionals and contains advanced scientific research.
The Training page contains written instructions and videos that explain how to use ScienceDirect. Note that the links on the database homepage to subject areas, e.g. Chemistry, give you a list of journals and ebooks that cover the subject, not articles. To find articles, use the Advanced Search page. A link to the Advanced Search page is located to the right of the search fields near the top of the database homepage.
