As you research your court case, you may realize you need some background information, for example defining terms or understanding concepts that are referenced in your reading. Online encyclopedias are a great source for this information. They also provide links to more in depth sources if you need more information.

Encyclopedia Search Tips

Since encyclopedia articles focus on basic, general information about a topic, what you type in the search box should also be general:

YES:  "Jonathan Swift"

YES:  "Jonathan Swift" and "social class"

NO:  How does Jonathan Swift portray the struggle between the poor Irish and the upper-class English in A Modest Proposal?
