Use AND between two or more terms to find materials with all the terms. Searching for cross infection AND handwashing will only include books that have both cross infection and handwashing in their contents.

Use OR between similar terms. Searching for handwashing OR hand disinfection will find books that refer to either term.

Use quotation marks ( " " ) around specific phrases such as "cross infection" to find the words in that specific order.

Use an asterisk ( * ) to find multiple endings of one word. Using pollut* as a search term will include results that refer to microbes, microbology, microbial, microbacteria, and microbiologist. |
