This process is primarily used for community patrons as they cannot submit a hold request through Primo.
Required Role: Requests Operator
1. Search for the Physical Item. You can search by barcode, title, etc.
2. Click Request next to the title or copy you want. (Note: Permanent location must be circulating, and item policy must be normal.)
3. In the Request Type drop-down box, select Patron physical item request.
4. Fill out the required fields:
5. Click submit. A pop-up message will appear to confirm that the request was successfully submitted.
1. Within the patron record (Fulfillment > Manage Patron Services > Enter barcode or EMPLID/myNOVA), click on Requests.
2. Click the ellipsis (...), then Create request.
3. Search for desired item by title - if your item does not appear, click the icon next to the drop-down to open a full search.
4. After selecting the correct title and Patron physical item request from the second drop-down, click Create.
5. The Requester field will already be populated with the patron. Fill out the remaining Pickup At required field and click Submit.
