Receiving Items (ICL/LTS)

Items sent from other campuses can include hold requests with your campus as their pick-up location, returned items, or newly catalogued items from LTS. (Note that for newly catalogued items, your campus collection development librarian may wish to look through prior to shelving.)

1. When items arrive, navigate to Scan In Items and scan each barcode.

2. Shelve the items as indicated:

  • Reshelve to circulating: This item is owned by your campus. Double check that the due date card has been removed from the book pocket or that you have reactivated the security strips (campus-dependent), then place on shelving cart or reshelve.
  • On hold shelf: Place on hold shelf in alphabetical order by patron last name, with the patron's name visible on the slip. The requesting patron will automatically receive an email that their item is ready for pick-up.

Re-print hold slip

If you need to re-print a hold request slip, you can do so by scanning in the requested item.

1. Navigate to Scan In Items (Fulfillment > Resource Requests > Scan In Items).

2. Scan in the barcode of the item.

3. Click the ellipsis and select Print Slip.

4. A pop-up will appear. Click "Quick print" to open the print dialogue box and send to the appropriate printer on your campus.
