★ Persistent links in JSTOR are called Stable URLs.
Steps:
- From the results list, click on the title of the article you want.
- At the top of the screen you will see information about the publication. Highlight and copy the Stable URL listed there.
- Add the following prefix to the front of the URL:
http://eznvcc.vccs.edu:2048/login?url=
-
Example of a "proxied" persistent link:
http://eznvcc.vccs.edu:2048/login?url=http://www.jstor.org/stable/4193273
- To shorten the link, you may want to plug it into a site like Bitly (http://bitly.com/), which will convert the link into a smaller one that is easier to work with. The links never expire.
