Structured Outline

To successfully complete a draft of a project of this magnitude, in which you draw from numerous outside sources, you should create a structured outline. Here, you will synthesize the argument and claims you will be making in your paper with evidence drawn from the sources you collected. Your outline will help you determine how, where, and in what order the ideas that have emerged from the prewriting process can best be logically sequenced.

Structured Outline Definition

A structured outline is a graphic scheme of the organization or hierarchy of your paper. It presents your thesis, indicates the main arguments in support of your thesis, as well as the subtopics under each main argument.
