Required Roles: Circulation Desk Operator or Manager OR Circulation Desk Operator – Limited (student workers)
Ready to return a patron's items after they brought them to the desk, or you checked the drop box? Follow the instructions below:
1. Navigate to Return Items (Fulfillment > Checkout/Checkin > Return Items) OR Scan In Items.
2. Scan item's barcode.
3. The item description is displayed and generates a return receipt to the patron's email. When you have returned all items, click Done to finish and return to the welcome screen.
4. If a return is owned by your campus, the next step will be "Reshelve to Circulating/Display/Reserves." If owned by another campus or requested at another campus, a pop-up will indicate where to send the item. Place item in an ICL bag with the appropriate campus label.
