Cancel a Hold Request

These instructions are for canceling a hold request.

Required Role: Requests Operator


1. Locate the request from the Pick Up Requested Resources list or within the patron record. 

1. Dashboard Tasks Widget > Other Requests > Pickup from shelf

2. Fulfillment > Pick From Shelf

3. Patron Record > Requests


2. Click Cancel Request.

3. Select the Cancellation reason from the drop-down box. 


4. Add a Cancellation note if needed. What you type here will show in the patron’s email. 

5. The Notify user box is checked by defaultIf the notify user box is unchecked – no email is sent. 

5. Click Confirm. A Cancellation Successful pop-up notification will appear. The patron will receive a Request Cancel Letter via email if the 'Notify user' box was checked.
