Return Multiple Items from One Patron

Use this method to avoid sending the patron a separate email for each item returned.

Required Roles: Circulation Desk Operator or Manager OR Circulation Desk Operator – Limited (student workers)


1. Select Fulfillment from the side navigation and choose Manage Patron Services from the menu.


2. Scan in the patron’s barcode or type in EMPLID. Click Go.


3. The Patron information shows. Click on the 'Returns' tab and scan each item individually into the ‘Scan item barcode’ field.


4. After all items are scanned, click Done in the upper right hand corner. This generates a Return Receipt to the patron's email. Note: If multiple returns for one patron are processed via the "Simple Return" instructions (i.e. Return Items), the patron will receive a separate email for each item returned.
